- Rohit Sharma (3 for 12) has produced his second best performance in the IPL, next only to the 4 for 6 against Mumbai Indians at Centurion Park.

- Rohit has bowled splendidly in the competiton - 10 wickets at 8.80 runs apiece.

- Swapnil Asnodkar (44 off 39 balls) has recorded his best innings in the second edition of the IPL

- Deccan Chargers have posted their sixth victory in ten games in the second edition of the IPL. With 12 points, they are behind only Delhi Daredevils (14) and Chennai Super Kings (13).

- Of the eleven games played, Rajasthan Royals have lost five and are fourth in the Points table.

Deccan Chargers' 53-run win is their first in four matches against Rajasthan Royals.

- Deccan Chargers' aforesaid victory over Rajasthan is their biggest in terms of runs in the IPL, eclipsing the 24-run victory over Royal Challengers Bangalore at Cape Town.

- Adam Gilchrist (701) is the third player after Suresh Raina (730) and Gautam Gambhir (711) to complete 700 runs in the IPL.

- With Trivedi's wicket, Rudra Pratap Singh has captured 31 wickets in the IPL at an average of 21.93. His tally is the best overall in the IPL. His tally of 16 wickets at 14.93 runs apiece is also the best in the 2009 edition of the IPL.

- Dwayne Smith (47 off 32 balls) got his first Man of the Match award in the IPL.
