With something as big as the Champions League Twenty20 and the great pick of teams and the players, the event will simply be the focus of attention all over the world. The team which wins the League will surely have a richer purse and will be titled as the World Champion Club in cricket.

Eight teams have come together in the Champions League Twenty20 which hails from different nations like India, England, Pakistan, South Africa and Australia. All these teams are either champions already or runner-ups from their countries and have come together to find the real champion. The eight teams include Chennai Super Kings, Bushrangers, Titans and Middlesex which form Group A and Sialkot Stallions, Rajasthan Royals, Warriors and Dolphins are a part of teams of Group B.

As a representative of the Indian Premier League, the Rajasthan Royals and the Chennai Super Kings will have great support from the Indian audience. The teams have numerous stars from Indian cricket as well as international teams. Under the captaincy of Shane Warne and his great experience, many players like Sohail Tanvir, Yusuf Pathan, Graeme Smith, Shane Watson and many others clinched the title in the Indian Premier League and expected to do the same here. The star players in the team seem to be Sohail  Tanvir who was the ‘Purple-cap winner’ in the IPL, Graeme Smith, Shane Watson, Yusuf Pathan who are all-rounder in the game.

For the Chennai Super Kings, the star certainly is the skipper MS Dhoni. Under his captaincy, players like Mike Hussey, Gony, Makhaya Ntini, Badrinath, Muralitharan, and Mathew Hayden were and will again perform to the best of their skill of batting and bowling in the Champions League.

The Australian team of the Victorian Bushrangers which already are the three-time winners of the KFC Twenty20 are also under eyes of the people. With Cameron White as their captain, the team is expected to make it big in this tournament. Other names in the team include Brad Hodge and David Hussey who are already popular with their talent in the game. The Warriors team who already has Shaun Marsh and hoping to gain Mike Hussey too has high hopes in the tournament. Other players include Marcus North ad Ronchi who are all-rounder players and established names in cricket.

The Titans which are South African contenders are winners of the current Standard Bank Pro20 Series and have players of great caliber like AB de Villiers, Morne Morkel and Dale Steyn and therefore aim to make it big for the players.  The other team Dolphins from South Africa includes many players like the famous Amla brothers who are established in the international cricket scenario. The younger brother Ahmed and Hashem have proved their mettle as great batsmen.

With an impeccable record but without any big stars in the time, the Sialkot Stallions too are a part of the Champions League. Shoaib Malik is  the captain of this side and has led the team to a third-time victory for the team in  the country. Abdul Rehman is another known player in the team and also with the skipper’s younger brother Adeeb Malik, the team aspires to perform well and make their name known. Middlesex team from England with Shaun Udal as their captain and players like David Malan, Murali Karthik etc the team is likely to make a mark in the tournament.

So much of star-studded shows will be seen in the Champions League Twenty20. Let us all hope to see an exciting and enthralling series ahead.
