







It was a great delight for the fans of the Rajasthan Royals fans to see their team play. Their performance was superb, whether it was batting or bowling. They did not flinch once and ultimately the match was in their lap. They defeated the Delhi Daredevils by a big margin of 105 runs. Shane Watson was awarded the man of the match.
The Delhi team was just grilled by the performance of the Rajasthan Royals. The team lost wickets at such a pace and frequency that the team saw no hopes from the time their wickets began to fall. The highest scorer in the Delhi team was Dilshan who managed to get 33 runs off 22 balls. The next highest scorer had a big gap from the highest. It was Gambhir who made 11 runs which was followed by 10 runs made by Karthik. No other player could even score in double figures. The team finished off at 87 runs in chase of the total of 192 runs this giving a big margin of 105 runs for victory. Watson and Patel obtained 3 wickets each against the Delhi team.
The Rajasthan Royals gave a tremendous performance even after they had lost two early wickets. Unlike Delhi, they did not flinch after the fast dismissal of their early wickets. Watson and Asnodkar and later Pathan made sure that the match was going nowhere. Watson scored the highest, 52 runs off 29 balls. Asnodkar managed 39 whereas Pathan pitched in 45 runs for the team and the target shot up to 193 runs which the Delhi team was not able to chase.
The team will now face the other team in the finals. The second finalist will be decided in the match between the Kings XI Punjab team and the Chennai Super Kings on Saturday.
